The StreamingMedia server farm is located in a secure failsafe data centre incorporating power and air-conditioning backup with direct redundant connections to the national IP infrastructure.

StreamingMedia provides purpose built MediaEngines, Help Desk and field support for a total turnkey solution.

The StreamingMedia Help Desk monitors the health of the network and the MediaEngine with the ability to interrogate online each MediaEngine  with a range of diagnostic tools for fault isolation and repair.

StreamingMedia provides a range of purpose built MediaEngines incorporating the iCon player application and the embedded operating system. The player application incorporates the media acquisition and delivery framework and supports the latest video and audio codecs and containers plus Flash and Jpegs. The embedded operating system is tuned to the requirements of the player with redundant applications removed ensuring a secure robust implementation. The MediaEngine can be configured for multiple outputs and multiple players to incorporate added functionality from the same MediaEngine, e.g. signage and directory board.

Clients may also purchase the iCon Player and embedded operating system for installation on their own hardware provided it meets the minimum specifications provided by StreamingMedia.

StreamingMedia field service is available nationally for installation and servicing of the remote devices.

To support clients who purchase iCon and provide their own support StreamingMedia provides a range of second level support options for both the iCon applications and field support.
